Haven't anyone yet come accross AutoCAD's (or Autolisp) capability on calculating the torsional constant of a section in AutoCAD?

The same question has been raised by Sutki1 (thread555-173004)six months ago. Any Developements since then?

Thanks,
Larry

you must make your polyline a "region", then use the "massprop" command. You will get a variety of different properties. Be sure that the centroid of your section is at 0,0 or the values you receive will be wrong.

Thanks skier.

Please have a look at this thread: thread555-173004

Do a google search for torsional constant , there you can see a lot info about it .

Seem to be a little hard to do it by LISP , but no impossible.

If you have a hand way to do it , and can show it , maybe it can made a LISP.
