Dear Collogues

I would like to verify the total drift of elevated water tank (please take a look to the attached capture) according to code Euro code.

Could someone help me to answer the following inquires?

1. Which load combination of Euro code should be used? Knowing that I have only two simple load cases on structure (Self weight and wind load).
2. What is the allowable code limitation for the total drift of structure?

Thank you in an advance; any help will be highly appreciated

0.9 G + 1.5 W as far as i remember for the load combination

Thank you for your response.

But may I know the allowable maximum total drift (total Horizontal displacement) according to Euro code?

Knowing that the structural doesn’t locate in earthquake zone that is why I would like to verify the total structure horizontal displacement based (self-weight & wind load).

For steel elevated tanks built to AWWA D100- there is not a specific drift limitation. Drift will be limited in a general way by allowable stresses and P-delta design (large P with a water tank).
For concrete, for Euro codes- I have no idea- but be aware, there may not be a specific drift limitation there, either.
