I have been asked to design a self disengagement system for a tow cart on a towveyor line where tow cart pin is required to disengage from towveyor line everytime there is an impact. Any help or input in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
You'll have to differentiate between impact and the normally expected load from starting and stopping. I'm expecting a spring loaded ball system might be somewhere to start. Load on the spring could be adjustable.
