Hello,
Is there a way to transfer the Program Order Group Name to Postbuilder? Ex. I have named the group O11234, which is what the first line of the posted file wants to be for the machine. I currently have a manual block of "O00001" which I have to edit every time to a new number. Or even more ideally automatically assign a sequential number from a spreadsheet or text file. I am a newbie to Postbuilder so any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a custom command that comes with post builder called PB_CMD_program_header.tcl that does this.

From Post builder go to Program & Toolpath - Custom Command
Click Import. This should default to where Post Builder is loaded on you system. If not navigate to the Postbuild\pblib\custom_command folder and select it.

I has instructions on how to use it.

I would recommend getting a book on Tcl/Tk and getting some training on Post Builder.

I have Tcl/Tk for Dummies and several other books as reference. You don't need to be a Tcl expert but some basic skills will go a long way.

Worked perfect! I see now how the customizations in the post link back to the part file attribute info. Just the nudge I needed.

Thanks very much.
