Transfer seed part properties to a step file 1

In NX3, is there a way to transfer seed part information to a converted .prt file from step? I've inherited hundreds of step files and I hate to add every layer and property from our company seed file after I convert them to .prt

Why not just import the seed file into your translated file? Or import your translated parts into your seed file?
