HI
Does anybody have any information about the foundation for the transmission lines Such as what type of loads are apply, what factors are to be consider etc.

If anybody provided me any excel spreadsheet or some relevant literature about this, i will be very thankful to him/her.

Thanks

hanijuzar ,

Get a copy of ASCE 10-97 " Design of Latticed Steel Transmission Structures". You will find the required information regarding loads and combinations to be used.

Design of foundation is just like any regular foundation( Spread, Pile etc.)

For the base plates you may face lack of info
And this is a good guideline in the internet:
Design of Monopole Bases. By Daniel Horn, P.E.

Also, there are some specialized software that would save you big effort
I don't remember any
But some looks pretty comprehensive and can do the whole design and claimed to be used by specialized companies.

i used to design transmission poles, we used PLS POLE/CADD. load combination coming from electrical is not exactly on the same page with lrfd or asd. you may want a copy of "asce design of transmission poles"

THANKS TO ALL
THESE LITERATURE WILL DEFINITELY HELPS ME FOR FOR THE DESIGN OF TRANSMISSION LINE
