Trim 12 for steam service

Hi,

Does anybody know if Trim 12 can be used for steam service?

The pressure/temperature is 7826kPag at 296degreeC.

For steam application we always use trim 8, the 410 stainless is a bit harder than the 316 so you get less erosion.
 


Steam is not always as clean and dry as presumed. Cost saved on quality, both on materials and tyoe/brand and valve geometrical form can easily give a very much higher lifetime cost with shorter standtime, repairs, downtime and replacements.

For your temperature and pressure I would rather go up in quality, refer steamdog's posting.
