Not sure if anyone has talked about this before, but anyway, I have just found a very useful aspect of the trim command. A way to trim more than one object at a time, it is the fence option.

To use it:

1. Trim - enter
2. select trim lines - enter
3. enter "f"
4. select a start point near the objects to be trimmed
5. select an end point that places a "line" over the objects to be trimmed.
6. press enter.

All of the objects that were crossed by the "fence" line are now trimmed to the trim line.

A similar could be done with extend.

The fence is not mandatory , you could choose one at time .
Other feature is poligon instead fence.

holding down shift while your in the trim command will also togle between trim and extend. So you dont need to exit the command to do the other.
