Trouble making a weldment path on a lofted face

Trouble making a weldment path on a lofted face. I made a lofted face and sketch planes. I cut the face at each plane and made sketch from the edge of the face. The sketch line is a dashed spline That I cannot use for a path. How do I work around this?

only linear or arc segments are supported

as a workaround you could try to sketch some arcs on top of the spline and try to do a "best fit"
