Hello Everyone,

This my first post so bear with me...

We have a Trumpf 3030 laser, a few day ago the machine was running fine. However during operation the operator walked away from the machine for a few minutes. When he got back he heard a hissing sound (Air or Gas) coming from the laser head location. The operator explained that the "hissing sound" went away, but the parts were welding to the sheet.

We are still welding parts on the sheet, and there is no hissing sound..

What would be the best steps in troubleshooting this? where should we start?

Thank you.

I would look at assist gas delivery to cutting head first

This might or might not be the problem. This happened to our 2030 machine. Take the cutting head off, then unscrew the locking mechanism completely and check that the spring inside is not damaged or mangled. If it is, it will prevent the head from sitting flush/straight.
