Hi,
I'm trying to simulate a T structure connected with wire ropes. The T structure is meshed with solid elements, while the wire ropes with truss (T3D2). The truss are connected to the structure with MPC Beam. The structure is vertically loaded at both ends and it's hinge constrained, as in the picture.
The problem is that along the Truss axis there's no load (S11 stress is zero), like they are not working. But this is not true. I checked and they are properly connected to the MPC Beam master node, and also the MPC slave nodes to the structure.
I tried to apply a preload and I am able to see only it along the truss axis.
Do anyone knows which could be the problem?
Thanks

Can you attach a picture showing results of this analysis (stresses, displacements) for the case without preload ?

Iìve just solved the problem. I did the model in Hypermesh and I was not able to select the No compression property. So I manually edited the .inp and now it works well.
