Trust Creation - Legal Representation - Referral

I am looking for a referral for legal representation to create a personal and family trust. I am finding it very hard to find representation that has dealt with the high liability that a structural engineer is subject to.

Some general info:

- I am a licensed structural engineer in multiple states
- I am an owner of a C-corp that provides structural engineering services
- I regularly stamp and sign structural drawings and calculations
- I am an owner of multiple LLCs that holds properties and patents
- I also own several other personal assets
- I live in Orange County California

I am looking for representation that knows and understands the liability that structural engineers have. Possibly someone who has successfully defended a structural engineer when personally be involved in litigation. I have lots of insurance both personally and professionally as well as corporate protection but everyone always tries to get around that stuff and cone after you personally.

I am also looking for the entity to deal with asset protection.

Any assistance would greatly be appriciated.

I am located in Kentucky, so my legal representative will be of little help to you. I can, however, offer some advice with regards to your search.

* Do not shy away from expensive attorneys or large firms. I have found it to be economical to carry an Iowa Class Battleship to a knife fight. Serious people need serious representation.
* My attorney is AV Peer Reviewed. I am not familiar with the process a lawyer goes through to achieve this distinction, but I have had many people tell me that it is the mark of the best legal representation you can buy.
* You will get sued. It happens because there are people who see your success and wish to take it from you.
* No amount of contracts or other protection will keep you out of court. This is due to the fact that anyone can file a claim against you. What you do once you are in court will keep your assets safe.
