Trying to do Extrusion/Sweep But Can't Figure it Out 1

I am trying to form two fillets from body 1 to body 2 as seen in the attached photos. I tried doing an extrusion from the right edge of surface 1 to body 2 and then extrude backward but this did not work.

The problem is that surface one has a curve two it, so as i extrude back (into the screen) there develops a mismatch as body one curves out of the screen.

I tried thinking about doing a sweep extrusion where I traced a trajectory and a cross section, but this made my brain hurt....

I hope it is clear what I am trying to do. Any suggestions are appreciated!
