Ladies and Gentlemen,

Does anyone have a list of the "Out of the Box" checks that UGS Check-Mate has? More importantly, how has people's experiences with Check-Mate been?

OK, go to Analysis -> Check-Mate -> Author Tests. Once the dialog is open, go to the 3 icons on the Right about a 1/4 of way down the dialog box and select the first one lableled 'Quick Reference'. Now it may take a few seconds (10 or 15 maybe) before the html document opens in a browser window. There you will get a list of all of the Classes defined as well as a category index of the functions.

SOmething else that might be of help is something that you can get from any local UGS office or any of our sales partners, and that a small but handi book titled 'Check-Mate for Dummies'. And yes, this IS one of those familiar yellow and black 'for Dummies' books that you've seen around. It was written by one of our more qualified experts in this and other KF enabled areas of NX. As I said, you can get free copies from any UGS sales office or partner.

John,

Sorry if I did not elaborate earlier, but we did get the yellow and black book from our sales rep. However, while it as informative as to the general functionality - it was a little sparse as to the particulars of "Out of the Box Checks".

The issue that faces my company is the cost/benefit analysis of running Check-Mate versus "re-tuning" our current manual processes. The analysis would go a lot faster if a list of "OOTB" checks could be compared against the current list of manual checks that my company does now.

Also, there is the question of how to use Check-Mate to "flag" correct designs in TeamCenter - so that incorrect designs are not sent to the manual checkers/supervisors, who are checking for advanced industrial regs, versus if the designer forgot put an incorrect label in a particular data field.
