Trying to replace part with another part with identical filename

I have a part, PartA, whose filename is parta.CATPart. I'm trying to replace it with a file in smarteam with an identical filename, but I get the following error: Replace wrning. According to Linked Document Localization settings, file "local filepath" is found instead of "filepath pointing to part in stwork". Rename your file or change your linked document localization settings to avoid conflicts. The "smarteam" option is already at the top of the list in the settings. I just started using catia a month ago and I'm beginning to pull my hair out because of stuff like this.
