Tube along spline curve

Hi,
When I make a tube along a spline I can not measure the diameter or use the concentric assembly constraint on it. Even when I have a straight line at the end. Why??

The concentric constraint will only work where you have 2 edges or curves (circular or elipitical) that are on the same plane. if you want to align a tube in a hole, then use the touch constraint and from the sub menu pick infer centre axis. This will alow you to pick the outer face of the tube in order to select the centre axis.

When I have 2 tubes with a straight end which I want to connect, then I have 2 curves which are on the same plane. But it doesn't work with concentric.
I also tried the infer axis method, but did not work either.

Yes that's what I mean and I see that it works that way.
I found out that when you have a straight end and put an extra extrude on that it doesn't work anymore. But why?
See attached file. Not all circular ends are selectable with concentric constraint.

The problem is with the extrudes, I managed to get one of them to work, but not the other, so I editied the model and recreated the extruded flange and no they are both mated using the concentric constraint as you can see in the attached model.

I assume (?) that the problem is isolated to the flanged end of the "3;0702;5100-15,bellow" ?

This flange has for some reason become a little ..., i.e the outer edge that one would expect to be circular is a "tolerant curve".
A tolerant curve is a "anyshape-curve", spline etc and therefore doesn't respond when NX searches for arcs/ellipses.
I would assume that it is due to that the extrude 8 is made from the inner edge of the tube, which is an "intersection curve", then the outer edge becomes this tolerant curve instead of circular.

Try using a "multiple segment" tube rather than "single segment". The multiple segment option does a better job of keeping the cross section circular along the entire length of the tube. Single segment produces a better looking result, but may take a few liberties with the geometry resulting in tolerant edges rather than perfect circles.
