Hi. We are interested in taking a small diameter tube (0.5mm x 1.5m long) and changing the cross section along the entire length (from circular to a 'D' shape). This process must result in no bowing of the part and no twisting of the cross section along its length. Of the top of my head Hydroforming would appear to be a good process for this but I am wondering if anyone would suggest another. Would traditional methods such as rolling, pressing or drawing work. Please note the process needs to be repeatable and very accurate (+/-0.01" on finished dims). Thanks.
