Dear All.
Could you please help me with power systems for the Tunnels
issue.
We haven't expirience with this type of objects.
We think about standard ring unit connection: first feeded from SS in the begining of tunnel, last from SS in the end.
Each SS feeded by utility and back-up generator. Voltage level is 22kV. each ring station is in and out disconnector and in middle disconnector with fuse for trafo feedeng.
Next idea, two long cabels between SS A and B, cables runs on both side of tunnel and with some cable joint will feed disconnectors of ring stations, something like to double BB systems.
Each cable possible supply from both SS.
What is your opinion?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

Slavag,

Can you provide a little more information.
Is it a road or rail tunnel, how long?
Is it a single or multiple bore?
What avaiability is required from the power system?
Will the power system be required to operate for a time in the event of a fire for evacuation purposes?

Once this information is available you can start to design a secure power system.

Also if the tunnel is used by the public you may have to provide information on the electrical distribution system into the tunnel safety case.

Hi Blackcountryman.
Thank you for reply.
1. It's rail tunnel.
2. Are few tunnels , sum. lenght about 20-25km, a longer tunnel about 11km.
3. Double bore.
Yes, The power system be required to operate for a time in the event of a fire for evacuation purposes.
We aren't designer, I only would like check what is a standards, recommendations, requirements.
Best Regards.

Slava,

Rather than a long text here are links to two types of tunnel power supplies from our tunnel solution guide.

I must stress these are are a high level overview rather than actual systems but they should provide an idea of what is required.

I hope this is of help I also hope the links work as it is the first time I have tried this

Regards
John
