turn on snap lines while taking section or creating sketch in drawing

Hi,

how to turn on snap lines while taking section view? even its not picking axis lines, so i have to place section line approximately over centre line.

Check that the snap points are enabled on the selection bar, then turn on any snaps that you want to use. In the pic below, the icon on the far left (highlighted) will toggle the snaps on/off.

thats turned on and all snap poits in that. still only end points/mid points of edges can be picked, not intersection of two midpoints of edges. that snap lines are not coming. am i missing any other settings?

after watching a youtube video on NX drafting, i assume that there is no option to get snap lines while in section view as in solidworks. Here for that purpose there is an addition option of adding a section line where snap lines appear, using section line section view is created. i guess thats right way to create section view using section line.

what is an axis line ?

Please provide illustrations when you speak "other cad system language".
CAD terminology is not standardized.
