turning off axis system in product 1

I am making a product with multiple parts. The axis systems are turned on in the part. When I bring them into my product all of the axis systems show up. We are using Smarteam. When I hide the axis systems in the product it tells me the parts have been changed. All I want to do is turn the axis systems off without affecting the original parts. Is this possible?

When you turn off the axis system you turn them off in the parts.... modified parts.

Tell the owners off the parts to turn the axis systems off before saving.
