Here's the deal. I turned on the control tool box and inserted a button on my powerpoint slide that I'd like to use to laucn a macro.

I double clicked the button and linked to my macro (no problem).

Now I want to exit design mode back into run mode, so that when I click on the button it lauches the macro (rather than bringing up the properties). In excel I know on the control toolbox is a little icon that looks like a straightedge with triangle on top to enter /exit design mode. I can't find it on the menu's in powerpoint (or in the help). Any ideas?

I think you have to run Slideshow mode to do that. Design mode is the default editing mode.

Aha. Never would have thought of that, but it works. Thanks.
