Can anyone give references about the usage of twisted tube heat exchangers in crude preheat trains, specially with HGO, HVGO, atmospheric tower bottoms, or vacuum residue as the heating media?

Thanks

There was a document containing expert discussion about using twisted tube HE in fouling services, but I cannot remember if it was available on the internet.
Anyway, the conclusion was that they would not be of much help in hot preheat trains where extremely fouling problems occur on the shell-side.
