Hello,

Can anyone give me a reference/book that explains further about how the coefficients in the table of the "Coefficient Method for Design of Two ways slabs"

I know there are new methods for designing two way slabs, Direct Design Method or Equivalent Frame Method.

But I think, Many structural designers are still using the old method which is "Coefficient Method or Method 3 of the ACI 1963 Building Code" and which for me i think is still preferable.

I couldn't find any references/books explaining further about this method unlike DDM or EFM method which are always found on most modern Reinforced Concrete Design Books.

So, please let me know if you do.

This book has exactly what you're looking for, taking it back pretty much to the source testing.

For what it's worth, I feel that the exercise that your undertaking is a pilgrimage that should be made by any slab designer, regardless of the day to day method that they use for slab design. Trends gleaned from testing trump all other forms of knowledge in my opinion.
