Type Test Report

Hi,

I would like to ask do you guys accept the type test report to represent a equipment with same concept design but with minor changes such as rated operating frequency, different Type Test according the standard ( such as normally practice are IECs, but they provided IEEE standard ).

Depending on what you are testing the change in frequency could be quite significant.

In my opinion, mainly, motors-induction, synchronous- generators and cables. But also switchgear and other.

Hmm, I would like to know the switchgear, I thought switchgear can be operated in multiple frequency to fullfill international market, perhaps manufacturer design according to the IEEE or IEC.

For instance: for Power Frequency Withstand Test the supply power has to be at rated voltage and rated frequency.See
IEC 60694/60298 for instance.
