Tyre mark

Please see the picture. Front tyre of an SUV. A little above 40000 km. What could have caused this? Asked some tyre people nearby. Yet to get a clear answer. Thought of posting here.

That is a belt edge separation.

Go directly to the tire store and replace all the tires. Do NOT drive over 35 mph.

Where are you located? How old are the tires?

This vehicle is in United Arab Emirates. Tyre is 2 years/ approx.40000 km old. Already replaced as there was excessive inner shoulder wear and the dealer advised to replace it. Happened to see this mark on the old tyre. Got curious as I never noticed similar marks on tyres.
What might have caused this edge separation? Could this be a manufacturing defect?

Defect? Probably not. My experience is that - assuming there is no overload or underinflation going on - this is related to a deficiency in the design of the tire.

UAE? That sounds like some heat and heat is an aggravating factor here.

And taking a guess here, that's an S speed rated tire. In that part of the world, the minimum should be an H.
