U bolt anchorage for a supported tank on grillage beam 1

Hi,
I'm working a sulfuric acid tank designed on API 650. From calculation, the tanks requires anchorage and the client requests to provide grillage beam supporting as leak detection technique.
The client provides to us drawings of anchor details he got on a similar tanks. (see below)

Any ideas of standards, codes or references to design U-bolts and considering at the same time anchorage requirements of API 650.

U-bolts are tough things to make engineering sense out of on a design like yours. They must be bent perfectly or they are difficult to install up at the nuts; they have high residual stresses from the bending operation right at a highly stressed area on the rod; they want to bend at the beam flange, or bend (kink) the beam flange tip, when they are tightened. Their tightening strength is a function of their bending strength about the tip of the beam flg. And, although they look simple enough, they are a special fabed. piece, probably not inexpensive. Why not consider two 450mm long bolts (170 + 223, plus), with a 150 x 210 lg. by 30 or 40mm thk. bar, or some such, drilled for the two bolts, at the bottom? This is a detail which is easier to put number on and to justify.
