Hi All,
I got a problem with Honeywell UDC6300. When the controller is switch to manual to generate an output but everytime I shift from Manual to Auto, the Output goes to Zero. I have configure the controller but seems the problem remains.

Would anyone care to help if you have encountered this sort of problem. I need it ASAp please.

Thanks and much appreciated.

I have to ask, "what's changed?".

The Honeywell UDC 6300 controller has been obsolete since 2005; a decade ago. So it's unlikely you are starting one up. Instead, it's been in service and something has changed.

Have you compared the existing setup to the setup you recorded on the fill-in-the-blanks page from the manual back when?

Is this happening to one process controller only ?

If it is, can only guess that this is how the controller is configured to operate on AUTO, given the input signal and the setpoint. Have you checked if this is a direct acting or reverse acting controller, for example?

HI All,

Thanks for your immediate reply.
danw2---the controller has been in service with full control since last 2006 but until 2013,the problem exist. the same parameters have been configured with no changes, and there was this sudden change of operation. In fact I tried to re-configure the control from cascade to single loop, however the same problem exist.

at single Loop PID:
Output = set at 50% on Manual mode
SP = set at 50%
PV = set to 50 (simulated)
at this point, the controller is switch to Auto, supposedly the Output will gradually play depending on the control action. However, when the control is switch to Auto mode, the output instantaneously goes to Zero.

I reviewed all the parameters,and perhaps with the sigle loop PID control, this will not happen except if the controller is configure in the "ON-OFF" control.

Thanks for your email and looking forward for your immediate reply.
