UG nx 7.5.5.4 Cannot delete components out of assemblies

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem happen to them. When I try to delete components out of assemblies, either by right clicking the name in the file tree or clicking on the component itself it does not delete. It does not ask me anything like "Are you sure you want to delete this component", nothing. I had this problem before we upgraded from NX 7.5.0.32 and it still is happening in this version. Here is a post from my log file when I go to delete a component:

I have tried making new files, older files, none of them can delete things out of assemblies. Is this an option I have turned off???

Note that I just tested this using NX 7.5.5.4 and I had no problem deleting Components from an Assembly using either of the approaches you mentioned.

I said that I had the problem before we upgraded, and upgrading did not fix the problem. Is there any settings that may have been turned on that blocks someone from deleting parts out of assemblies? All that happens when I press delete is that the status bar at the top of the screen says "'part' deselected - total 0"

I'm unaware of any setting which would prevent you from deleting a Component from an Assembly. That being said, are you running NX with Teamcenter? If so, it's possible that there may be something there which could be responsible for this behavior, but I'm not familiar enough with Teamcenter to speculate on what this might be.

I contacted GTAC and they solved the problem.

Under preferences --> user interface --> general select "Reset Dont display this message again" and Reset dialog box settings.


Hit okay and everything works.
