Ultrasonic Bonding of plastic sheets

Forgive me if this is not the exact place to post this question.
A current lab project requires thin sheets of PET or other plastics, or thin aluminum sheets to be bonded together.
Can an ultrasonic welder hold a stack of 100 sheets (maximum) together and only make a bond between the top two sheets?.

No. A thermal impulse sealer might be made to work.
