I am helping a friend build a cabin, and need some help. We are installing an older wood burning stove (5-10 years). The help I need is with codes. The inspector is requiring either the original documentation for the stove showing the setback requirements, or to have it installed according to the Unified Mechanical Code 1997. Since the owners manual is MIA, we have to go to the UMC. I believe he said it will be in sections 13.06, 13.07, and 14.4. I know I should buy the book, but this is the first time I have had to reference it and don't think I will in the future or I would buy it.

If anyone out there has it and can let me know what is required, maybe make copies so I can have it for records I would sure appreciate it. Thanks.
