Hi,
I'm milling a part out of flat plate with a single 2D wall profile. I have multiple parts in one program to be cut from a single sheet, so I have one Wall Profile operation per part - internal geometry and the outside profile. I've placed start points in each hole and for the outside profile, then set Region Sequencing to Follow Start Points. But it still always starts cutting on the outside profile, although I want this last. What am I missing?

Hi,
you need to check that the Effective Distance (under the list of your start points) is adequate enough to cover the length of the movement needed for the tool to go from each region's end to the next. If the distance is not enough it will ignore your start points and go to what it thinks is optimal.

check here:

Thanks for the hint, but this did not work. I tried changing the Effective Distance to 1mm and also to "none" but it created the same path.

You should increase the distance. Let's say the part is 100mm x 100mm try making it 100mm (not tool percentage) and see if it is ok.
In general keep in mind this. Your second start point will be honoured only if it is within a radius smaller or equal of the distance given in the Effective Distance, from the first point. If not it will be disregarded. So if you set an Effective Distance big enough your points will surely be honored.
From what i see in the picture the part is quite big, so try setting it let's say 1000mm

I see, I misunderstood. However, increasing the effective distance also didn't help. I tried various distances 10-1000mm and the generated path is always the same. I also removed the outer profile from the cut selection so only the internal holes are left and this also made no difference in the cut order.
