Hi everyone,
A section underground piping will be replaced and there is a need to seal the annular space between the carbon steel casing and the pipe.
Can you guys please, shed some light on regards the type of sealing material normally used for this purpose? What's your experience on similar requirement?
ASME B31.4 at 403.8.6 states "casing ends shall be sealed using a durable, electrically nonconductive material"
436.5.1 (b)(13) Cased crossings shall be inspected during installation to determine that the carrier pipe is supported, sealed, and insulated from the casing.
Thank you in advance and you Have a great day
