Understanding HVAC symbols in cad drawings?

I'm looking for something to help me learn what the names are for unlabeled HVAC symbols I see in 2D cad drawings. Some of it is easy to pick up on like diffusers, different types of ducts, roof units, etc, but I can't figure out things like what the large rectangular crosshatch symbol is representing (I've never worked in construction before).

If it's not in the legend, call the Engineer and ask him.

The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which depends on a feature that isn't included in this version of Windows.

It is the symbol for sound attenuation.

It may be a flexible connection (DS045 in section 4.5 of SMACNA CAD standard)

Everyone uses slightly different symbols for different things. Every symbol on the drawing set should be on the legend. If it isn't, then the above suggestion of calling the engineer and asking him is what you have to do.
