Unexplainable expansion of parts

I am running a four bar linkage system in Abaqus. I am applying a displacement to a node on one of the linkages by creating an amplitude and applying it as a boundary condition to the node. When I run the model, the displacement of the node displays correctly, but two of my parts have expanded to several times their size instead of just displaying the stresses. I have checked the deformation factor and set it to one and this still happens.

You should also check to make sure your units are correct. I've been bitten a couple of times with this.
