I write many Maros while using Unigraphics but they are limited in their use.
I need some help in getting started in using Grip to intergrate with the macros.
What should I do or where should I go for help?

I don't know of anyone doing training in GRIP. GRIP is considered a dead language by the customers and UG. There have been no enhancemnts to gRIP since V10, except to keep it running. There will be some changes for NX3 to support the new plotting interface. GRIP cannot create paramateric parts or draftiong. Its bets use is for file management and simple things. The future of UG custom programming will be the new journalling that starts with NX3 or for maximin power UG/Open .net or C++ API's
The advantage of GRIP over macros is that GRIP doesn't have to be rewritten or compiled at each new UG release.

What sort of repetitive tasks are you doing?

I have a menu that I have created to modify the values of an object, length, width and etc as well as change the attributes of the object for the BOM. Each buttom calls out for the value of an expression to be changed. The expression value in the object is 1 for Alunimum and 2 for Stainless Steel. If the user selects the button for Aluminum and in the macro the original value was 1, the macro errors out. If they Select Stainless Steel it works fine. It needs to switch back and forth between 1 and 2. I am trying to fine some way to keep this from happening. Its OK with me but other users might not understand what is happening.
On another note, I would like to be able to get the part number attribute for the BOM as well.

That is a problem with macros on a toggle type of command.

Send me more detail off-line on what you need.
