Unique Chamfer Help

Greetings:

Picture is attached of a clamp that takes on the unique shape of a part. The wall is highlighted in yellow that needs to be chamfered back, but this wall has many curves in it. Can someone help me chamfer or something similar to where I show a yellow line through the width of the part shaded in yellow?

You can cheat it with edge blend.

Make an edge blend in place of chamfer, in a side view draw a line from tangents, extend the line or otherwise make it longer.
Delete the edge blend, sweep the line using the new line as a section and edge as a guide. trim body to swept surface.

create two offset curves in face on opposite sides, run a through curve surface through it, enlarge this surface slightly so it intersects your body, trim body with that surface. hide surface.

I've done very complex 'chamfers' that flow nicely with that method.

Any of the above, plus a couple others to know wouldn't hurt - related to each of the above in a way:

Create a Face Blend, only Trim the blend faces, don't sew/attach anything. You want just the blend face as a surface. Use the Face Blend tangenc(y/ies) to create a Ruled or Through Curves or Law Extension. Enlarge the surface if necessary and then Trim Body.

Create Offset Curve In Face across all of your faces (as above), then use Law Extension, enlarge the surface if necessary and Trim Body.
