Good Evening guys,
I am trying to understand the P1000 column loading chart. What does the maximum allowable load at slot face mean (shown in table on attached link)?
Is it when another beam is attached to column with a bracket or any other fitting?
For example, lets say I have 1000lb point load on centre of Unistrut beam (P1000). That Unistrut beam is actually not sitting on top of two Unistrut column (Also P1000) but attached to columns with the bracket P1325. So reaction load at corner is 500lb. Do I have to compare that 500lb with the maximum allowable load at face or is this something else?
