I was given a model in STEP format and had to remove a couple features to update an assembly. I created a couple blocks for what I wanted to remove, I go to subtract them, and they get added to the model! I do this 2 more times just to make sure. I re-translated the file, brought it back in, still the same thing. So, for laughs, I tried uniting it. It actually subtracted it! Has anyone ever heard of this??? This was an unparameterized model by the way.

Hey, at least you can still do both additions and subtractions ;-)

No, I've never heard of this before. Have you moved models in from other CAD systems and seen the same problems or is this confined to files from one vendor?

If you can reproduce this with files from different systems, I would contact GTAC and have them take a look at your files, both before and after they are converted.

He also might be using a custom toolbar or something, in which someone could have gotten the bitmaps and icon popups switched around by mistake while making the wrong BUTTON call in the .tbr file. A long shot, but it can happen.
