I believe the solidworks term for what you are describing is a "Lance". Do a search in help for that and you will find info. A lance is a forming tool in the feature pallette (SW 2004 and earlier... it may have been moved in the newest release, but it still exists).

What version of SW are you using?

In SW2004 go to Tools > Feature palette > (Insert your location path here)Palette Forming Tools > Lances

The forming tools are in the following directory if you did a default install with the standard directories.

C:\Program Files\SolidWorks\data\design library\forming tools

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.
