Updating mesh problem .prt to .fem

Hi, this is my second post. I'm having problems when I split and element in the assembly file (extention .prt) and return to the mesh file (extention .fem). The NX ask me to update some meshes and when I do that, the new split element just disappears. We have two pc with nx in my company and I'm having this problem just with one of them. what is the problem?
