Hi everybody,

I'm writing to ask you about recommendations for a dewpoint meter. We have been working with an Alnor 7000U but we want to upgrade to something digital and more accurate.

In our plant we have 2 Endothermic Generators (1500 CFH & 2200 CFH) to feed a continuous furnace and two batch furnaces.
As we're investing in a new equipment we're open to evaluate if the dewpoint meter has any other functions and if they would be necessary or useful for our operations/processes or if it would be okay to just stick to the basic equipment.

Any recommendations?

Best regards.

What type of heat treating are you performing in those furnaces? What type of atmosphere is being used?

I recommend Super Systems DP2000 digital dewpoint tester. It has automatic temperature referencing and an automatic pump. You don't have to use the pump with the generators though, only with furnaces.

Good day,

TVP: Thanks for answering. We generate endothermic atmosphere and in those three furnaces we perform mainly neuter hardening, carburizing and carbonitriding. We have a fluidized bed furnace as well were can offer nitriding and ferritic nitrocarburizing.

dbooker630: Thanks a lot for your recommendation! We'll check over the specs of the tester.

Best regards!
