Hi, We are looking at upgrading NX 10 to NX 12. The last time we bump from NX 8 to 10 we ran refile on the reuse library. The library parts upgraded as we opened them but I do remember the reuse library is write protected. Is this still the process to use? Any other tips on the upgrade? We will continue to run native until the fall when team-center is implemented in our division.

Thanks

I never refile. I've got files in my Resuse library that are Pre NX.

Is there a reason to only goto NX12? unless you work for a large company, NX 12 is Out of maintenance already, It is buried in the "End of Stanard Maintenance" folder

It is a large company and we are the last to join. I read that each time to open assembly with hardware and other reuse items it tries to open and update but since they are write protected This process fails everytime you open. make the large assemblies slow to open. Refile is recommended. Or at least it was between 8-10.

For NX 12 there is no refiling tool available anymore.
There is another maintenance tool included which can do a similar job but it is not really needed unless there are issues with data quality.
