uploading files

I am trying to upload a pdf of a drawing off the desktop as an attachment to a post. I have done this a few times before. What am I doing wrong now? -confused !

Copy your file name and insert it in the attachment block below.

Have you tried the "...or upload your file to ENGINEERING.com" link located just above the "Posting Guidelines" link and below the "Attachment" box?
