Urgent Measuring Equipment Advice Needed

I was asked to post this "Thread link" here asking for advice as to what might be availible or if anyone could advise us as to where to go for information. I have also posted this question on Practical machinist as well. Any and all reasonable suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The biggest issue that I see from reading the linked post is the budget that you have to work with. My suggestion would be to get with one of the OEM manufacturers that also offer services in this area and see what they offer if anything. You would be surprised as most of these guys are really into new challenges.

One of the things that I did not read was the quantity of bushings that need to be measured and the time frame involved. Also, what is the frequency of this type of maintenance? I know of one particular piece of equipment that would work very well in this area but the price is out of your range.

I agree with the others-- talk to a technical person from Mitutoyo, Starrett, Brown & Sharpe, etc.

You probably resolved your problem by now, so just keep these Dyer in mind for the next measurements.

I just wanted to thank everyone that responded to this post. We were able to obtain some equipment through some of the suggestions. I've been away for a while and have not been able to update my postings. Again, thank you all.
