Usage of Sensors In User subroutines

Dear Abaqus Users,

I am doing a simulation which involves 2 steps( I am using 2 plates with some laser welds for connection purpose)

1) In the Load step 1,cload will be applied on the sheet metal and load will be increased till the parts gets physical contact and after establishing the contact then the step should stop and go to the next Load step.

I heard we can do it using sensor to find out the force at the cload location(to find out how much force is required to establish contact between 2 parts)

what are the inputs and outputs required to carry out the simulation?

I am new to the user subroutines,Please provide me some reference file to understand the concept and way to submit the job in Linux machine.

I have already gone through the document

1.1.19 UAMP Abaqus User Subroutines Reference Guide
User subroutine to specify amplitudes.

1.2.7 of the Abaqus User Subroutines Reference Guide

4.1.2 of the Abaqus Example Problems Manual.

It involves script and it is bit difficult to understand.

How can add the sub routines in the inp file?

If you provide me some simple example file.It would be of great help

When you've defined in the .inp that you want to use functionality from a subroutine, then you have to refer to the subroutine file while submitting the job.

abaqus job=jobname user=subroutinename
