Use Excel macro to run reports on solid edge .asms

If it exists somewhere..or can someone advise me of the code required to index down a list of solid edge assembly files that I choose, in an excel macro to run a report, copy and paste to a worksheet in excel. I have to do this manually and its time consuming so any pointers in the right direction would greatly be appreciated.
