Hi all,
I've been modelling with ANSYS mechanical for a few months now and could use some more experienced advice/knowledge. I have done extensive research online and through the mechanical help booklet but cannot seem to find a specific definition of what happens at a "no separation" contact. What are the main differences between no separation and the default (bonded)? How does the contact allow for slight movements? Does it use spring elements? If so, how are the spring stiffnesses determined? Are there any ways to alter a "no separation" contact?
I'd just really like to know exactly what I am doing to my model when I use these types of contact.
Any and all help would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks
