User Entry on File Selection Dialog Boxes

How does "User Entry on File Selection Dialog Boxes" work? Because if I enable it, it doesn't wait for the user to select a file but it goes right on.

Well that's what it does, it's expecting that you will be replacing the 'File Selection' step with your own operation.

You mean I should open and edit the .macro file?

I'm under the impression that instead of selecting a particular file, the macro waits for the user to pick that file. But I guess it doesn't work that way?

If you're using an actual 'Macro' and NOT a journal file, when creating the Macro and you get to a dialog which you wish the user to perform the interaction manually, go back to the Macro menu pull-down and select the 'User Entry on File-Selection Dialog Box' option. That way, when you replay the Macro it will stop and allow the user to make a selection before it continues its programmed steps.
