Are USGS 7.5 minute Quad maps based on NAD27, NAD 83 or GEO84 projection datum?

The 7.5 minute Quads I have seen are in NAD27.

it should state wich Datum is used, lower left corner. they also show NAD83 tick marks.

Thanks. I know that info is on the maps, but I no longer "see" quads; the office I currently work in doesn't have hardcopy USGS maps in it (or a typewriter, for that matter). I get them on-line. But, I'm filing out a permit app. and they are asking the question I asked you.

USGS tends to be fairly detailed with their metadata, and typically have the contract provide an associated metadata file within the raster file download package.

If no other files came with the image, then try looking at other websites that have metadata listed or allow downloading of the image with the collar still attached.

Mine are from Terraserver and they say NAD 83, under "info".Mine are from Terraserver and they are NAD 83. Thanks.
