Using Hide/Show 1

I have Catia V5.19

I have a 38 pc assy (cat product).

can I hide/show....
all partbodys with 1 button click?
all wireframe/sketch with 1 button click?
all dimensions with 1 button click?
all fta/gdt with 1 button click?

I have 1 customer that insist we use catia for all their work. This is my 1 time a year in Catia, it is very frustrating that I can't fly thru it.

You can also use CNTRL + F or Edit--> Search. Setup your 1 button click wish list in the favorites. To do this, make a valid search then hit the "Add to Favorites" tab at the end of the Query line. The next time you need to hide/show stuff
Cntrl + F, Favorites tab, select your custom item, Hide/show.

I start Catia P1 V5R19.

I then go ....file - open - xxxxxx.catproduct

The assy is on the screen.

Across the top my choices are.....
start,file,edit,view,insert,tools,analyze,window,help

Under "tools" there is no....show all or hide all.

Under "view" there is a hide/show.....but does nothing I can see.

Maybe the method I mentioned is only available in CATParts? I'll have to check tomorrow.

Yes, Tools Hide/Show is only available for CATPart files, but not for assemblies.

We had our IT guys write a macro for us. One macro that hides everything in one step. We also started to teach our users to hide all the construction geometry before saving their parts, but I guess that's not an option for you.

Derek's suggestion is easy to setup and quick to use.
